My Hero Is...

A hero is defined as someone who is admired for their brave deeds or noble qualities, and regarded as a role model.

Here are the people that are our heroes:

Adrianne - "My hero is my mom, because she's a physical therapist and she works to help people."

Aleksei - "My heroes are people who tell people not to do drugs like cigarettes or alcohol."

Anna - "My hero is "Lucy" from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, because she always has the most faith and believes in more things than the others."

Ashley - "My hero is Junie B. Jones, because she's very entertaining and she was my first favorite chapter book."

Caroline - "My hero is my mom, because she takes care of me and she feeds me at night at dinner."

Chase - "My hero is Harry Houdini, because I think he was an amazing person and I want to do magic tricks like him."

Cheyenne - "My hero is Ameilia Earhart, because she made a stand for girls and she was the first girl to cross the Atlantic Ocean."

Christian - "My heroes are inventors, because I have little toys at my house that I can build and take apart to make things.  And I realize that that's fun."

Elyse - "My hero is my mom, because she cares for me and when I get hurt she always finds a way to make me feel better."

Fernando - "My heroes are my parents, because they take care of me, they also play with me, and they make food for me."

Jack - "My hero is my dad, because there's a couple of reasons.  One is that he is an artist and a buisiness man.  And once I was fell down the escalator and my dad had to dive for me, but he missed, but he's still my hero because he tried."

Jimmy - "My hero is Josh Hamilton, because I want to grow up to be like him and hit a lot of home runs in baseball."

Jordan - "My hero is my dad, because he takes care of me and he tells me if I have a mistake."

Juliet - "My hero is Justin Bieber, because he's very kind and sweet and down to earth."

Lauren - "My hero is my mom, because she is really nice and a fashionista."

Marin - "My hero is Ramona Quimby, because she's her own person and she doesn't care what other people think."

Mihir - "My hero is Lebron James, because he has a lot of triple doubles.  He inspires me to play basketball and win an NBA title."

Myles - "My hero is Harry Potter, because I want to do magic tricks and cast spells."

Parker - "My heroes are the troops, because they protect us."

Ryan - "My hero is my dad, because he fights for our country."

Sabrina - "My hero is my mom, because she's really helpful and she always takes care of me really good."

Samhita - "My hero is Mrs. Culp, because she's helpful and she makes everyone understand and she's kind."

Samuel - "My hero is my dad, because he plays with us and helps us."

We've Got to Move It, Move It!

We are learning about force and motion in science and what effect they have on an object position.  Here's our song to help us!

Learning About Gravity

In science we are learning about the effects of gravity on different objects.  Today, we attempted to pass a ping pong ball to each other by sucking in air through a straw.  Gravity really made this a tough task!  Only a few of us could do it.
